Linear Rails for Robots with secondary Encoder

The linear axes from MABI Robotic increases the working space of your robot many times over. This enables you to machine effectively large scale components. The higher flexibility enables the realisation of complex applications. In this way different types of manufacturing can be combined, even over long distances. The integration into the existing controller can be done without any problems.

Frequently questions

What load can MABI Robotic's linear axis movement carry, and why are they the preferred choice for demanding manufacturing applications?

The MLR-2500-P is the linear axis with the largest load capacity in our comprehensive portfolio. This impressive performance enables us to easily move robots with a mass of up to 2500 kg. The robust design of the MLR-2500-P not only ensures exceptional load capacity, but also remarkable rigidity. Another outstanding feature of the MLR-2500-P is its equipment with secondary encoders. As with almost all MABI Robotic products, these encoders ensure extremely high accuracy of motion control. This is particularly important in complex automation processes, where any deviation could exceed minimum tolerances and compromise the quality of the results.

What lengths are possible for the traversing axles?

The total length of the traversing axles depends on the casting combinations used. Both variants have a minimum length of 5 meters. The LR-2000-P is manufactured from castings with lengths of 1 meter and 3 meters, whereby the maximum length of this variant is 17 meters. The MLR-2500-P, on the other hand, is specially designed for milling and is assembled from castings with lengths of 3 meters and 5 meters, also with a maximum total length of 17 meters. Depending on the respective version of the bellows, either a restriction of the travel distance or an extension for the bellows must be expected. These adjustments are necessary in order to meet the specific requirements and conditions of the different versions.

When does it make sense to use a linear axis and for which applications?

The use of the traversing axis is mainly used to extend the machining area. This increased working range enables machines to move to better positions for exciting machining operations, resulting in increased precision and efficiency. Another significant advantage is the ability to work at several different stations, which leads to better utilization of machine capacity. We recommend using the MLR-2500-P for exciting machining operations and processes that generate a lot of chips or dust. For simpler applications in "clean" environments where the exposure to chips and dust is low, we recommend the LR-2000-P. This machine is designed for less demanding machining processes and offers a cost-effective solution for applications where high robustness against chips and dust is not required.
