Fascination of robotics
After more than 30 years of experience and global sales in machine construction and automation, we are proud to present to you our own specially developed robot series. MABI Robotic has an extensive range, from small six-axle robots to heavy-duty robots with a carrying capacity of up to 150 kg. The different models offer outstanding performance in material handling, machine feeding and process applications, thanks to their excellent precision.
MABI AG, based in Veltheim (AG), Switzerland, also offers all-round engineering services. The company employs around 70 people and can cover virtually all aspects of product development. This includes amongst other things, CAD/CAM/CAE, die casting, precision casting, machining of casting, turned and bent parts, installation and software development. Due to the continuing development and use of the latest technologies, we are now able to produce our own full robot series in Veltheim. Installation is also realised at the Veltheim factory in Switzerland – to the usual Swiss standard of quality.
The most up-to-date machines are used at all times, for instance several 5-axle HSC milling centres with robot handling and several industrial robots that are in operation around the clock. The company also has a very diverse CAx software environment, consisting of the following systems:
• TOP’s 600
This helps guarantee consistency and a high level of quality. The innovations of the MABI development department are protected by different patents. The completion of another hall, adding approximately another 2,000 square meters to the existing premises of a total of 12,000 square meters, gives the company 7,200 square meters of production and storage space. MABI also has a presence in Germany since 1999 with its subsidiary in Waldshut-Tiengen.
In 2002, we already presented a robot cell at EuroMold 2002, which was distinguished by its innovative design and extremely flexible equipment options. Depending on the configuration, this cell could be used to carry out various jobs cost-effectively, such as polishing, sandblasting, welding or paint-spraying. Tasks such as installation, loading, labelling and the application of adhesive can also be realised using the robot cell. Even then, the robot cell was characterised by its high level of productivity.
In a nutshell: We have been fascinated by robotics ever since.
